How to get there - Vienna
The fastest and most direct way to get to Vienna is by plane. Bill Vienna International Airport it is a major hub for international flights. In addition, this terminal is the operations center for Austrian Airlines, and the low-cost airline Nikki. Both fly from the main destinations of Europe.
El Airport it is only 18km southeast of the city. You can take the train regular (S-Bahn), one of the cheapest options (3,60 euros) and fast (18-20 minutes). There are Trains every hour from Bratislava (13 euros and one hour), 6 daily from Prague (47 euros and 4 hours and a half) and one from Berlin (98 euros, nine hours). The trams D and O stop outside the terminal.
All motorways de Austria originate and end in Vienna, so it is easy to arrive from any border country. Arriving in the city it is better to avoid freeway A23 Südosttangente during rush hour. Traffic is guaranteed for hours.
As for Bus, Vienna it lacks a central terminal so they stop at various locations depending on the destination. One of the largest is Erdberg (east of the center), where all Eurolines buses - the largest bus company in Austria- they stop.
