Powerhouse museum

El Powerhouse Museum is in Darling Harbor en Sidney. It is the largest museum in Australia. It is part of a chain of museums established by the New South Wales government. It houses more than 300.000 objects of science, art, design, music, history and space exploration.

The museum was opened to the public in 1988. It was built on the foundations of the old Harris Street Power Station. The Powerhouse Discover Center and the Sydney Observatory are also located here.

The museum is open from Monday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. Admission for adults is 7 euros for adults, 3 euros for children from 4 to 15 years old, 4 euros for older adults and children under four years old are admitted free.
