With its more than three thousand eight hundred meters long, the bolonia beach is located in Andalusia and is not only considered one of the best beaches in Spain but it is also one of the last virgin beaches in the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula.

The beach

This beach is located in the Campo de Gibraltar region in Andalusia and is naturally bordered by the Sierra de La Plata, La Higuera and the San Bartolomé hill.

Bolonia Beach is one of the favorite destinations in Cádiz for couples in love or boyfriends, due to its natural charm, its pine forests and the view we can have from the cliffs.

It is also ideal for fans of water sports since its moderate swell allows us to have good waves for surfing and if we are naturists we can do nudism in some marked areas of the beach.

How to get

To get to the beach, we must go along the Malaga national road and follow the path along the regional road for a distance of nine kilometers, the entire stretch is signposted so we will not get lost.

In Playa de Bolonia we will not have rental services for hammocks, sun loungers and umbrellas, or kiosks or diving areas, but we will have access to toilets, showers, telephones and parking, although this is not guarded.

What to see

In the surroundings of the western part of Bolonia beach we will find the Great Dune, a natural monument that is located under a path of stone pines.

If we are located at the top of the dune we can see Tangier. Furthermore, without going too far, next to the beach we will find the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Baelo Claudia.
