Price and schedule

Tickets to get on the Madrid Cable Car can be purchased both online and at the box office. One-way general admission costs €4,20, while a round-trip ticket costs €5,90. Youth card holders have a 10% discount at the box office. It is also cheaper for large families.

As for children under three years of age, they rise free. On the other hand, people who have a disabled card in which a disability of 33% or more is justified, will have a free ticket for a companion.

Likewise, at the box office you can find different vouchers and offers with which to visit various attractions of the city:

• Cable car and Zoo Aquarium Madrid: €24,45 (€20,75 for children under 7 years old)
• Madrid Cable Car and Amusement Park: € 33 (€ 26,50 for children under 1,4 m)
• Cable Car and Las Ventas Tour: € 16,10 (€ 12,70 for children under 1,4 m)

If a group of 20 or more people go, the round trip costs € 5,20 and one ticket is given for every 20. As for the schools, there must be a minimum of 10 for this price to apply and they are given two tickets for every ten for teachers. However, a reservation must be made in advance.

There is a ticket modality called flexicket, which allows you to use the cable car in one of the seven days following the chosen date. It must be purchased seven days in advance.

Finally, during some special days there are some offers. For example, on Valentine's Day, for a different rate, you can enjoy the cable car ride with some detail, such as a glass of cava.

Cable car hours vary throughout the year. As a general rule, these are their opening and closing hours:

• From May to August: from 12 to 21
• April and September: from 12 to 20
• October to February: 11am to 19pm
• March: from 11 a.m. to 19:30 p.m. (closed on some days)

How to get there and tour

To access this attraction, there are two different stations. One is the Rosales station, with an address between the streets Paseo del Pintor Rosales, Marqués de Urquijo and Paseo de Camoens (5 minutes from the Temple of Debod). The nearest metro stop is Argüelles and, in addition, it can be reached with bus lines 21 and 74.

The other is the station House, located in Cerro Garabitas. The Batán and Lago metro stops are approximately 2 km away. By bus, you can get there with line 33. If you want to go by car, you should take Exit A5 - Casa de Campo - Amusement Park - Zoo. There is free parking at both stops, so parking will be very easy.

The route that the cable car takes is between these two stations. It lasts 11 minutes and reaches a height of 40 meters. Among the areas through which it passes, the Parque del Oeste and the Príncipe Pío Station stand out.

Facilities

In addition to the cable car, we can find other facilities. On the top floor of the Casa de Campo station there is a restaurant and a cafeteria with a terrace, of which you can get discounts by purchasing the menus online.

In this same place is the Pumba Children's Park, aimed at children between 2 and 12 years old. It has two different areas: a ball pool and an adventure circuit. Half an hour costs € 3 and an hour € 5,50.

Rules

The cable car is running even if there is rain or snow, as these meteorological phenomena do not affect its operation. However, it is subject to the wind conditions of each day.

The Dogs and pets in general are allowed. However, the animal must go throughout the trip in its own bag or basket and accompanied by its owner.

As for baby carriages, you can go with them, but they must be foldable as they may be asked to fold. There is also free parking for strollers at both stations. You can also upload bikes: you just have to indicate it at the box office.
