La St. Patrick's Cathedral en New York is the seat of the State Catholic Archdiocese and is the cathedral largest catholic of United States. It seats 2.400 people and is visited by more than 3 million each year.

It was designed in style neo-gothic by James Renwick and completed in 1879. The structure was made of white marble and stone. Various elements were added over the years, such as the parish priest's house, the two towers over 100 meters high (1888) and the Chapel of the Virgin (1901)

The interior contains numerous altars and statues among which the altars of Saint Michael and Saint Louis, both designed at Tiffany's, and the altar of Saint Elizabeth, designed by Paolo de Medici, stand out. The latter contains a modern statue honoring Ann Seton, the first American saint. Special mention deserves the statue of La Piedad, three times larger than Michelangelo's in Roma.

La Cathedral it opens from Sunday to Friday from 07:00 to 20:30 and on Saturdays from 08:00. Free entrance. To get there you can take lines B, D, F and V at 47th and 50th Streets.
