El Interpretation Center of the Wall is in the historic center of Lugo, very close to the wall, in an XNUMXth century building.

It's a unconventional museum, raised as a center of discovery. Its objective is that the visitor, by himself, understand the origin and evolution of the monument without neglecting the importance and prominence it had in the history of the city's inhabitants.

It is equipped with last generation technology. Through video screens and interactive screens with historical simulations, the visitor can inquire into what interests him the most or what catches his attention with total freedom.

Each four floors of the building is dedicated to a different era of the wall. In the ground floor the reception of visitors is located and a Tourist Information Office of the City Council of Lugo. The first floor shows us the construction of the wall as a work of engineering. In the second floor we will know the vicissitudes of the wall in medieval and modern times. He third level talks about the wall today, its interaction with the population and the appointment as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Center, located in Campo Square, opens daily in the Time from 10:30 a.m. to 14:16 p.m. and from 30:20 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. The entry General costs € 3 and the reduced € 1,50 is for pensioners, children under 14 and students.
