El time zone has a difference of ten hours less with reference to Spain, in summer it can be twelve hours. It is important that you know this because if you schedule your trip with Tahitian time you should know that if there is Wednesday at eleven o'clock at night, in Spain it will already be eleven o'clock on Thursday morning.
The schedules of the shops work continuously from eight in the morning until five in the afternoon, on Saturdays they usually open their doors from eight in the morning to one in the afternoon, too. Banks open and close very early, Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 15:30 p.m., while on Saturdays they are open from 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Keep in mind that if you want to eat after two in the afternoon you will not find open restaurants since they normally serve from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
When you decide to visit the National Museums keep in mind that the Tahiti and its islands open from Monday to Wednesday from 09:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., while Gauguin's is open every day from 09:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.
