La Parish Church of San Pedro It is located in the Plaza of the same name, in the center of the city of Huelva. Its construction was carried out on the remains of a mosque in the Gothic-Mudejar style.
This church is the oldest temple in the city, with an estimated construction date from the 1755th to XNUMXth centuries. It has had very important reforms after the year XNUMX, when the Lisbon earthquake took place that seriously damaged it.
It has a plant and elevation typical of a Sevillian Mudejar temple. With three naves separated by arches and a polygonal apse. The main altarpiece of the Capilla Mayor XNUMXth century, the grille of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, Baptismal Chapel and some drawers and the chairs of the Chorus.
To visit the temple can only be done during worship hours. Masses are on weekdays at 19:30 p.m. and on holidays at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 19:30 p.m.
