The beach

The rock structures that adorn the beach make its landscape incredible and that we can take refuge from the sun when we are enjoying its waters. This destination, like other Mediterranean beaches, is usually in great demand in summer and holidays, so we must take precautions about when to travel and how far in advance to do so.

Although, we should not think that this makes it a crowded space because it is not like that, it even retains its virgin state that makes it so attractive that it has served as the setting for films such as "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and "Talk to her" . In addition, it is a setting chosen by many brands to make their advertising and musical video clips.

If we are fond of water sports, we will find near Playa de Monsul, centers where we can rent equipment for diving.

How to get

We can get to Monsul from San José or from the Cabo de Gata Lighthouse, even this route can be done on foot to enjoy the coastline through an excursion. The ideal is to do this route on foot in spring and with provisions, water, sunglasses and sunscreen.

We can also get there by car, but in summer it is unlikely that we will find parking and, if we find it, we will have to pay five euros per vehicle. From San José, we can also get there by bus, the same one that leaves to this destination every thirty minutes.
