Sanya (Hainan province): Sun, beaches, coconut trees, luxury hotels, and peace make Sanya an important summer option for Chinese newlyweds, but away from the main tourism circuits.

Lijang village (Yunnan province): In Lijang time passes smoothly and slowly. One can join the matriarchal Mosuo people in their fascinating traditions in the beautiful lake lugu, pilgrimage at the foot of the mysterious Jade Dragon Mountain.
