This museum is located in the north wing of the famous Cinquantenaire Park. Before it was known by the name  Royal Museums of Art and History. It presents collections that show the fascinating evolution and development of the world's great civilizations, such as those of Egypt, Greece and Roma, showing its art and culture and all kinds of artistic expressions dating from the XNUMXth century to the present day.

It has on display pieces from all continents, including samples from China and pre-Columbian America. For all this it is considered very complete and interesting, worth visiting.

Among other objects, we can enjoy Art Nouveau pieces, created by the famous designer Víctor Horta. It has a varied Egyptian collection that is of great attraction for fans of comics, as it inspired the Belgian artist Hergé, creator of the Adventures of Tintin.

The entrance prices vary from 5 to 1.50 euros if they are public in general or students. Free entry: journalists, teachers from Belgium and children under 12 years of age. Keep in mind that the first Wednesday of each month admission is free. The museum closes its doors on January 1, May 1, November 1, and December 11 and 25.
