El Doramas Park it's in the residential neighborhood Garden City, a true oasis of peace within the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This park is the main attraction of the neighborhood. Populated with numerous statues, waterfalls of water, a public swimming pool and full of flowers and plants native to the island. Among the sculptures we must highlight the monument that represents the aborigines who fall off a cliff, in an attempt to escape from Spanish capture and domination. Precisely, the name of the park pays homage to Doramas, the Guanche who led the resistance in the XNUMXth century.
Included within the park we find the Santa Catalina Hotel, built in 1890, and redesigned in the mid-XNUMXth century by Néstor Martín Fernández de la Torre. We recommend that you enter the bar and enjoy the wonderful views it has.
