Tossa, also known as Tossa de Mar. At the beginning of this century it was basically an agricultural and fishing town, with a small cork-stopper factory.
This last activity has disappeared and the others practically also. Currently Tossa de Mar It has more than 16000 inhabitants and as is to be expected in many of the towns of the Costa Brava with beach lives mainly from Tourism.
Between the coves and beaches that surround Tossa include those of Good, On, Moorish y llorell.
Tossa is very close to Lloret de Mar where longer beaches begin, due to the lower resistance to marine erosion of the materials that form the coastal mountain ranges.
