The party Halloween Formerly it was celebrated in Anglo-Saxon countries such as the United States, Canada, Ireland, etc. But now, it has become a holiday that is celebrated in many countries.

The use of pumpkins with a candle inside, is intended to illuminate the path of the deceased, and their monstrous designs to prevent souls from entering the houses. The legend jack-o-lantern, explains that a young Irishman named Jack met the devil on Halloween. Jack tricked the devil into promising that he would never take his soul.

After Jack died he was not accepted in heaven for his bad life, much less in hell. The devil returned him and threw a torch at him to make him return back, so that the torch would not go out by the strong wind, Jack put it inside a turnip that he was eating. Currently, it is a tradition to use pumpkin instead of turnip due to its easy manipulation to carve it.

En United States, children celebrate Halloween night by dressing up and asking for candy from house to house. When they open the door, they say "trick or treat", thus they warn them that if they do not give them the sweets they will play a joke.

En Scotland, apples represent death. They hang the apples on their doorstep and it is said that whoever touches them will die the following year.

Ireland, is the place where Halloween originated, on that day bonfires are lit in rural areas. The children, as in the United States, dress up and ask for candy from house to house.

Another children's game is to ring the bells on the doors of the houses and flee before they open them. The typical dish is Barnbrack, which is a fruit cake. The drink is Lamb's woos, a drink made from apples roasted with milk or beer.

In many countries, the party is a commercial celebration, costume parties are held in nightclubs and everything related to this day (costumes, pumpkins, candy) is sold weeks before Halloween.
