One of these places is in the Antarctica. What many would call the opposites of the end of the world, or just the ends of the world as I prefer to call them. The interesting thing is that heading north, about 50 kilometers from the center, is one of the strangest regions on the planet and somewhat atypical to the usual topography where we imagine high mountains covered by snow and frozen oceans with huge glaciers pointing towards the horizon.
Well, this part of the Antarctica is known as the "McMurdo Dry Valleys”, A vast region that most clearly resembles the surface of the planet Mars… on earth! According to the researchers, the region is considered one of the parts of the holy grail on the planet. What is also interesting is that this area of the planet is not covered by thick layers of ice like the rest of the continent, since the snow that accumulates during the season is sublimated (changes from solid to gaseous state) to a certain accumulation point.
In addition, it resembles Martian surfaces due to the freezing points in the bodies of water of the Antarctica as the eternal lake of life, which is frozen but not because of the cold but because of its freezing point that is well above the salinity level of the sea, 7 times higher, which has made an ideal site for organisms that still they have been in this area since the planet went through billions of years of formation to date… probably as has happened with bodies of water on Mars.
