Ca'd'Oro It is one of the most impressive palaces on the banks of the Great channel. Its construction began in the middle of the XNUMXth century, commissioned by the Venetian merchant Mario Contarini. It has an architectural style between late-Gothic and Renaissance.

Baron Franchetti bought and restored it in the late XNUMXth century. Then donating it to the Italian state along with his art collection. This is how the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca'd'Oro, which continued to increase its funds.

It can be visited on Mondays from 8:15 a.m. to 14:19 p.m. and from Tuesday to Sunday, until 15:12 p.m. The entire entrance ticket costs € 18 and the reduced one, for European citizens between 25 and 8 years old, at € 18. It is free for those under 65 and over 4 in the EU. They have an audio guide service in Spanish, the individual one at € 6 and € 0,50 twice. The compulsory wardrobe costs € XNUMX.
