The festivities en Prague they do not stop. These are some of the main ones:

Bohemian Carnival: At the end of January and the beginning of February (about 6 days in total), Prague celebrates its roots. The carnival is divided into 4 parts: Divertimento Furioso (mask parades through the city), Bohemia Divina (exhibitions and concerts), Praga Mysteriosa (merchants and fashion designers show their most avant-garde works) and Cuisine d'Alchimiste (typical food of the country is put to the test by local and foreign palates). The greatest activity is concentrated on Fridays and Saturdays.

There is also a somewhat controversial tradition: on Mondays it is legal to hit women (lightly) with specially decorated rods. These rods symbolize "youth", so women appreciate the "gesture" with colored eggs or chocolate.

He international festival pays tribute to the past works of various composers, as well as world premieres of compositions by contemporary authors. 2010 celebrates its 65th edition.

Prague Urban Theater Festival: In mid-July, for 3 days about 15 theater companies fill the Wenceslas Square. You can enjoy the unusual shows of these theater companies from all over the world.

International Folklore Festival: Festival of 6 days celebrated at the end of August. It brings together the main exponents of international folk music. About 30 groups with about 1.200 local and international artists arrive in the Czech capital. It is given in the Theater of the city library.
