El Borghese Museum and Gallery It is one of the most visited museums in the world, it houses the best private art collection in the city in a typical renaissance villa. As there are so many visitors, it only admits pre-arranged visits, with entry every two hours.

The collection was started in the XNUMXth century by the Cardinal Scipione Borghese, nephew of Pope Paul V, benefiting from this kinship. It offers us a fascinating journey through the works of Bernini, Rubens and Caravaggio, whom he welcomed under his protection.

The works are exhibited on two floors, which show classical sculptures, mosaics, paintings and bas-reliefs. Among the works of Bernini we can stand out "The Rape of Proserpina" y "Apollo e Dafne", that amaze the visitor.
