Wine in La Rioja

On the way to the Rioja, birthplace of fine and exquisite wines with a good palate, we pass through landscapes of autumnal colors, where regional architecture blends with extensive vineyards, from treason wines that recall long vintages to early and young appellation wines.

The tour begins in Logroño, where you can see some of the oldest wineries in the region, such as the Marquéss de Murrieta winery built in 1878, then we go to the Ontañon wineries, where we can perceive a historical air of ancient tradition, where they observe a large number of barrels. On the way out of Logroño, we will invest you to go through the largest wineries of crazy quality, the Juan Alcorta wineries that house 70,000 barrels !!!

Passing by  the Rioja Alavesa, where we observe the modern and innovative architecture of Ysios, such as  until reaching Haro, taking a break for The Rioja, accompanied along the way by the company of the Ebro river that bathes the fine and exquisite grapes.

In the town of Elciego, we will go to the architectural complex and work of art, the city of Vino del Marqués de Riscal. A huge work that involves endless wine productions, a hotel in which we recommend you try “Wine Therapy”. After having stayed one night at the hotel, we will take you on a walk to Cenicero, a town that has the special peculiarity that many of its houses are dedicated to wine production, where they serve as home and home at the same time.

Our trip would not be complete without having known the enormous winery of the Marqués de Cáceres, one of the most popular and prestigious brands at an international level, with great commercialization and movement, probably the center of our visit! A magno-sized winery! With a capacity for 40,000 barrels. With long corridors where thousands of bottles are stored.

To end our tour we have to visit the majestic wine museum, located in Briones, San Vicente de the Sonsierra. A museum that will leave you stunned by such a large and detailed construction on the tour of its immense facilities  It shows you the wine production process, as well as ampra and enough documentation.
