The zoo of Madrid it is a beautiful place to go with the family. And thus know the great diversity of animal species found in its facilities. The extension of this park is 20 hectares.
El Madrid zoo It was inaugurated in 1972 and was founded by Carlos III. One of its greatest attractions, the dolphinarium, was built in 1987. In it the whole family will spend unforgettable moments watching the sea lions and dolphins perform their pirouettes. The pool is 36 meters long by 10 wide.
Eight years after the construction of the dolphinarium, the Zoo Aquarium was built. It has 35 exhibition aquariums, with more than 200 species. After 2 years, the small zoo is exhibited, where children are dazzled by seeing the newborn animals.
In the small farm there are domestic animals. Other buildings are that of the Miserious Nature, where exotic species are appreciated; that of the Aviary, where the macaws are.
Two of the latest works are the primate complex and the panda complex. An act that amazed the world is the birth by artificial insemination of a white rhino in the first days of May 2009. It is the third to be born in captivity.
